Kathleen Mary Folan

Kathleen M. Folan, age 69, of Norwood, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Ann and Stephen Folan.

Kathy was a graduate of Norwood High, class of 1973. She went on to pursue both an RN and BSN degree from Framingham Union Hospital School of Nursing and UMass Boston. Kathy worked in several capacities at many of Boston's leading hospitals. Kathy embraced life with unwavering grace and dignity. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and dear friend. Memories of Kathy will live on in her sister's hearts.

As a gracious hostess, Kathy planned countless family events with attention to detail and a warm welcoming presence that made everyone feel comfortable and at home. Among her most cherished memories was a family trip to Ireland where she reconnected with cousins from Ireland and England.

Kathy leaves behind her sisters: Barbara (John), Brenda (Peter), and Ann Marie (Robert). She was an aunt to her nieces and nephews: John and Jamie, Steve and Emily, Paul and Hannah and new family member Willa, Rob and Morgan and Allie.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 547 Washington St., NORWOOD on Saturday, July 19th at 10:00AM. Interment will be held privately at the request of the family. Visiting Hours are omitted. Arrangements are in the care of Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., Norwood.
