Linda M. Goss

Linda M. Goss, age 75 of Norwood, passed away peacefully, Monday, September 2, 2024 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Everett, she was the daughter of the late Eva (Thomas) and Lawrence Goss.

Linda was a caring friend and colleague, worked in adult human services until her retirement in 2023. As an equestrian instructor and coach, Linda shared her love of horseback riding with others. She spent many Saturdays helping people of all ages to ride ponies and working with numerous individuals to participate at all levels of Special Olympics. Linda enjoyed vacations that included horseback riding on beaches and nature trails. Her other interests were sailing, fine dining from many cultures, touring vineyards and tasting fine wines, meeting with friends and family in distant destinations, and cheering on the Red Sox both at Fenway and in Florida during spring training. She was often found on summer Monday evenings in the parking lot behind Town Hall in Norwood, listening to the carillon with the love of her life, Lee.

Linda is survived by her life partner of 45 years, Lee B. Leach of Norwood. She was the sister of Carol Rego of Somerville and her late husband Ronald, Dianne Penney and her husband William of Florida, and Robert Goss and his wife Maria of Derry, NH, the aunt of Kim Rego and her husband Frank Kelly, Shelley Rego, Jennifer Belmonte and her husband Joel, Michael Goss and his wife Brittaney, and Scott Penney, and the great aunt of Olivia and Declan Kelly, and Jackson, Savannah, and Charlotte Goss.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rt. 1A), NORWOOD on Monday, September 16th from 4-7 PM. A Graveside Service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden on Tuesday September 17th at 11 AM.
