Margaret R. Goddard

Born Margaret Brown Reid on June 7, 1916 in Glasgow, Scotland, Margaret, a former Fashion Design teacher, moved to Punta Gorda with her daughter Joyce and son-in-law Thomas Mack, from Valrico, FL. Prior to that, Margaret had resided in Massachusetts.

She is survived her children, Joyce D. (Thomas) Mack, Margaret J. (James) Turner, Ivan L. Goddard, and David E. (Patricia) Goddard; 10 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death, by her husband of over 50 years, Ivan, on December 30, 1992.

Funeral services were held in March in Florida for Margaret. Arrangements were under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home in Port Charlotte.

Her graveside service and interment will be held at 10 AM, on Saturday April 22 at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton, Massachusetts.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Margaret’s memory are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
