Margaret P. Riley O'Day

Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Breen) Riley. Margaret was a graduate of Our Lady of the Elms College in Chicopee, MA.

Beloved wife of the late John J. O’Day, MD; Loving mother of John O’Day and his wife Mary Jo of Raynham, Margaret Sullivan of Norwood, Mary Ann McGovern and her husband Robert of Derry, NH, Robert O’Day of Braintree, Joanne O’Day of Mattapoisett, Kathleen O’Day of Norwood, Paul O’Day of Norwood, Maureen O’Day of Wakefield, Daniel O’Day and his wife Ginny of Osterville, Christine Stack and her husband Tom of Norwood, and the late Dr. William O’Day and Dennis O’Day; devoted sister of the late William J. Riley. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 11th at 9:00am from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), Norwood, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington Street, Norwood. Interment will follow the Mass in Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
