Marguerite C. Hawley
July 13, 1925 – February 7, 2021
Marguerite C. (McDonough) Hawley, 95, died peacefully at home with her daughter and son-in-law on Sunday, February 7.
Marguerite or Peggy was a lifelong resident of Norwood and active member of Saint Timothy’s Parish.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband James J. and son Timothy N., and siblings Joseph P. McDonough of Norwood, Mary E. Turner and her husband Arthur of Westwood, John McDonough and his wife Adele of Middletown, CT, and Rev. Timothy T. McDonough of the Spiritans. She is survived by her loving children James J. Hawley and his wife Lauris of Windham, ME, Christopher P. Hawley of Barnstable and Marguerite A. Hawley and her husband Eric S. Iida of Newton. She was the devoted grandmother of Timothy Hawley of Maine, Timothy J. Hawley and his wife Nikki of Walpole, Michael Hawley of Fall River and Paul Hawley of Foxborough. She also has three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered as a very loving woman with a kind heart and generous spirit.
A private funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, February 11, at Saint Timothy’s Church in Norwood. Attendance is limited due to the pandemic.
