Marguerite A. Morris

She was the wife of the late George Morris, of whom she was married to for 32 years.

Marguerite was born in 1929 in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada. She grew up in the community of Birch Grove. She was the daughter of Hughena N. Martell / (MacAulay).

She was a 1949 graduate of Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg, Maine, of which she recently attended her 65th class reunion. She was accompanied by her dear friend and companion whom she reconnected with after 64 years, Lenny Anzivino of Vermont.

Margie, as her friends called her, enjoyed spending time at the beaches of Cape Cod. She also loved gardening. Her favorite flowers, and one her family will always remember her by, are pansies. Watching a snowfall out her window was something she took great pleasure in doing. She also enjoyed crocheting. Margie was an avid sports fan who loved watching golf and the New England Patriots on TV.

Margie was the mother of six children, with her first (and late) husband David McDonnell. She resided in Needham throughout the years of raising her children. She is survived by her son, Stephen McDonnell and his wife Ree of Falmouth, her daughter Janine Willox and her husband Bruce of North Attleboro, her daughter Sandee McDonnell of Norwood, her daughter Sherry Miniutti of Texas, and her son-in-law Michael Gieselman of Norwood. She is preceded in death by her sons, David McDonnell and Richard McDonnell. She was the beloved grandmother of six grandchildren, Kristy Coen, Erik McDonnell, Ashley Willox, Bradford Willox, Jessica Miniutti and Sara Miniutti.
