Marilyn Helene (Powers) Siwicke, 88, a longtime resident of Norwood, passed away July 26, 2014. Born on February 6, 1926 in Boston, the daughter of the late John J. and Helene M. (Costello) Powers, Marilyn was the beloved wife of George W. Siwicke; the loving mother of Brian Siwicke, both with whom she lived in Norwood; and the sister of the late John and Bruce Powers. Marilyn was a medical secretary and worked for many years at the VA Hospital in Jamaica Plain. She was a member of Walpole Country Club. Marilyn’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 30, at 9:00 AM at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., NORWOOD, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington St., Norwood. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Roslindale. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marilyn’s memory to the Ecumenical Community Food Pantry of Norwood, 150 Chapel St., Norwood, MA 02062.
