FOLAN, Mary Frances (Thornton) of Norwood, August 17, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Martin Peter Folan. Loving mother of David M. Folan of Nowood, Julia Folan Klein and her husband Joseph Klein of North Attleborough, Stephen Folan and his wife Margi Kunzman Folan of Mansfield. Cherished grandmother of Brittney Folan of Franklin, Christopher and Matthew Klein of North Attleborough, Stephen Jr. and Julia Folan of Mansfield. Dear sister of Thomas Thornton and his wife Claire of Dedham, Martin Thornton of Norwood. Devoted sister in law of Edna McCafferty of Norwood and Betsy Johnson of Norwood. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD Fri. August 20 at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine Church of Siena Church, Norwood at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Late graduate of Norwood High School and former clerk for the Town of Norwood. Mary was an accomplished athlete during and after high school and was very active in her support of local youth activities.
