Mary was the daughter of the late Patrick and Beatrice (McHugh) Carroll and the beloved wife of the late Edward Alden Steeves; loving mother of Marie Moynihan and her late husband Roger V. of Canton, Edward J. Steeves of Houston, TX, John D. Steeves of Mountain House, CA, Ann E. Steeves and her husband Lawrence Gelberg of Burlington and the late Carole Scott; devoted sister of Theresa Matrango of Dennis, Alice Santacroce of Redlands, CA and the late Thomas, John, Bernard and David Carroll. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 26th at 10:00am in St. Mary’s Church, 176 Washington Street, E. Walpole. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mary C. Steeves may be made to the St. Francis House, 39 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02116.
