Mary Tillett

TILLETT, Mary T., (King), 57, of Norwood, formerly of Hyde Park , passed away peacefully, Friday, June 21, in Needham after a courageous 9 month battle with cancer. Born in Boston on August 15, 1955, the daughter of Catherine (DeCota) King of Norwood and the late Joseph King, she was a 1973 graduate of Hyde Park High School. She worked at the Sovogran Co. for over 32 years. Mary was the beloved wife of Donald Tillett of Norwood, the loving mother of Michael Tillett of Norwood, the dear sister of Paula Nelson of Los Altos, CA and cherished aunt of Katie Nelson of CA. Besides her father, Mary was also predeceased by her sister, Catherine Groden and brother-in-law, Mark Nelson. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 26, at 9:00 AM at Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Timothy Church, 650 Nichols St., Norwood. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, June 25, from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stanley R. Tippett Hospice Home, 920 South St., Needham, MA 02492.
