Maureen Maureen Curran Miskunas

Mary Ellen “Maureen,” (Curran) Miskunas, 67, of Dedham, formerly of Norwood, Saturday, March 29. Born in Norwood, on September 22, 1946, the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Ann (Flaherty) Curran, she was the beloved wife of the late Robert Miskunas, the loving mother of Anne-Marie Miskunas with whom she lived in Dedham; the dear sister of the late Michael J. Miskunas, and sister-in-law of Marjorie Curran of Norwood. She is also survived by several close cousins and dear friends. Maureen graduated from St. Claire High School in Roslindale with the Class of 1964 and Boston City Hospital School of Nursing in 1967. She was a Registered Nurse for 16 years at Boston City Hospital and 18 years after that at the Ellis Nursing Center in Norwood and as a part time R.N. for the Norwood Public Schools until her retirement in 2006. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 2, at 8:00 AM at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., NORWOOD, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington St., Norwood. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 1, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
