Nora E. (Folan) Murphy

MURPHY, Nora E. (Folan) 91, lifelong resident of Norwood, Friday April 21. Daughter of the late Peter and Nora (O’Toole) Folan. Beloved wife of the late Edward P. “Spuds” Murphy, Norwood PD. Devoted mother of Edward L. Murphy and his wife Janet of Alexandria VA, Nancy M. Quann and her husband Chris of Walpole, and Anne M. Murphy of Bellingham. Loving grandmother of Elizabeth Murphy, Hilary Ferguson, and Gillian Hogan; and great-grandmother of Nora and Charlotte Ferguson, and Teddy Hogan. Sister of Ann Marie “Nancy” Folan, and the late Thomas, John, and Matthew Folan, and Catherine Garabedian. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Nora worked for many years alongside her brother Matt Folan, at the High St. Market in Westwood. Funeral Monday May 1 from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St. (Rt. 1A), NORWOOD, at 10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood at 11.
