Montoya, Ofelia of Norwood, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family on February 8, 2019.

Ofelia was the beloved wife of the late Jaime Restrepo of Medellin, Colombia. She was the loving mother of Sol Garcia and her husband Luis of Norwood and Jaime Restrepo and his wife Celeste of Peoria, Illinois. Ofelia was the proud grandmother of Phillip Cardona, Nicolle Garcia as well as Adam and Eric Restrepo. She is survived by many loving brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In her spare time, Ofelia enjoyed travelling and reading. She had an insatiable appetite for a variety of various cuisines throughout her years. Ofelia was fiercely independent, and will be remembered as a spirited soul who “did it her way”.

Jaime and Sol, my deepest sympathies to you both on the loss of your mother. I will always remember the good times we shared when your mother and I worked together at Peacock and she worked at our studio. She was a good mother and a great friend.

To Sol and family, I will always treasure the times we all spent with your mom and Giselle in different cities .
Ofelia was a very intelligent woman that never stopped persuing her dreams, worked into her seventies.
Dear sister, you inspired me since I was little. You will be in my heart forever.

My deepest sympathy goes to you Sol & your family. There is no bigger loss than a loss of your mom. She will always be your guardian angel watching over you forever until you meet again. May she rest in peace.
So sorry for your loss.

Aunt Ofelia, thank you for being an inspiration to young women in how to navigate thru life with curiosity and being an independent career minded woman. I will miss your kind spirit and will always cherish the time we have spent together in Florida, New York and Boston. Until we meet again!
