Orrigo Palmerini

Mr. Palmerini was a U. S. Navy Veteran, serving with the Seabees during World War II. He worked for over 50 years as a barber at Musto’s Barbershop in Walpole. An avid skier, he was a longtime member of the Pole Cats Club.

Son of the late Henry P. and Mary (Falcone) Palmerini; loving brother of Josephine Palmerini, Rose Ross, Jennie Ippoliti and her late husband Renzo, all of Norwood, Mary Jones and her late husband Charles of Walpole, James Palmerini and his wife Mary of Norwood and the late Elizabeth “Betty” Leggeri; longtime companion of the late Jane Barker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 11th at 8:00am from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), Norwood, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington Street, Norwood. Interment will follow the Mass at Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Orrigo Palmerini may be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
