

Patrick F. Curley, aged 80, passed away peacefully in the care of his family on Sunday, September 4, 2022 in West Roxbury. He was the beloved husband of Helen (Hayes)Curley. Pat and Helen recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary.
Born in Palmer, MA on January 22, 1942, he was the son of the late Francis and Margaret (MacDonald).
Pat grew up in Charlestown and Dorchester and spent many happy summers with relatives in PEI. He graduated from Divine Word Seminary in Bordentown, NJ in 1959, joined the Air Force and served in Vietnam. He worked at the USPS in South Boston for 39 years as an electronic technician, retiring in 2000. He lived in Norwood for 20 years and served as a town meeting member. Pat and Helen moved to Walpole in 2007 where Pat worked on his golf game.
Pat was predeceased by his wife, Joan (Gustafson); his brother, Terry and his sister, Mary Donohue. He is survived by his loving children and stepchildren: David (Janet) Curley, of Braintree, Susan (Tim) Godfrey, of Plainville, Heather (Matt) Feener, of Walpole, Christina Jewell of West Roxbury and Brian Jewell of Somerville. Also survived by his sister Ann Reardon of Dorchester and his brother Jack (Karen) of South Boston and many loving nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his adored grandchildren: Jason and Lauren Curley of Braintree; Meredith, Austin and Allie Feener of Walpole and Devlin and Fiona Jewell of West Roxbury.
Pat was an incredibly warm and caring man who will be greatly missed. He always had a smile on his face and loved with all his heart. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid Red Sox fan, opera singer, fishing phenomenon and golfer. He loved to travel and was always planning the next trip. Of all the roles he had in life, his favorite was being the best Papa to his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 11th from 2:00 to 4:00pm at Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., Norwood. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 12th at 10:30am at St. Mary Catholic Church, East Walpole. Interment will be held at a later date.
