Paul M. Connolly

Paul M. Connolly, 74, of Falmouth, formerly of Norwood, died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, July 19, 2014, in Falmouth. Born in Norwood, on July 14, 1940, the son of the late Michael J. and Nora (Naughton) Connolly, he was raised and educated in Norwood. Paul was the beloved husband of the late Susan E. Connolly of Falmouth and the brother of Jack Connolly and his wife, Barbara of Norwood. He was predeceased by his dear sister, Mary Ellen Flynn. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Doris, Cindy, Susan, Michael, Robert, and Noreen, as well as several grand nieces and nephews. Paul enjoyed a long career as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service in Norwood until his retirement several years ago. Paul loved sailing, fishing, walking and spending time on Cape Cod and in Florida with his many, many friends. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 25, at 9:00 AM at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., NORWOOD, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington St., Norwood. His burial will be on Saturday, July 26, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Cemetery, Falmouth. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 24, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
