Much sympathy for your precious loss. Almighty God did not intend for man to live a short time and then die. Psalm 37:29 speaks of living forever. This is made possible through Jesus Christ for he is the resurrection and the life. John 11:25. May you have peace.

For more than 20 years and until her retirement Paulette Mosley was the Administrative Officer of MIT’s Operations Research Center (ORC). I was one of several faculty members who served as Co-Directors of the ORC during her tenure and relied totally on Paulette’s support in managing the Center. She was an incredibly capable administrator, a perfectionist who always took care of even the most minor details and a wizard at organizing things and anticipating and resolving problems. I remember having countless conversations with her about personal issues that individual students were facing (she knew them all) and about how to best assist them. She was also a dynamic, forceful and very kind woman who had a radiant smile that lit up any space she was in. She was a major contributor to making the ORC what it is today – one of the best academic and research units in all of MIT.

I very much regret being unable to attend today’s service because I have been (and still am) overseas for much of the pandemic period. My heartfelt condolences to Paul and to all her family members. She will be very fondly remembered by many of us at MIT and by former ORC students whose lives she touched over the years.
