Peter Sanford Miller of Braintree, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2026. He was born October 19, 1945, in West Roxbury, Massachusetts, as the youngest son of Arthur F. Miller (d) and Helen (Powilatis) Miller, (d), and older brother Arthur F. Miller, Jr. (d).
Peter grew up in West Roxbury graduating from Newman Preparatory School in 1963. He attended Northeastern University graduating with a B.A. degree from the College of Arts and Sciences in 1967 and an M.A. degree in 1969.
In the Fall on 1971, Peter accepted a position as English Teacher at the McCall Middle School in Winchester, Massachusetts. While beginning his public-school teaching career, he was accepted into the Weston Jesuit School of Theology in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In 1987, Peter was received into the Franciscan Third Order Secular (O.S.F.) and spent the next several years gaining experience in various ministries around the Boston area.
After retiring in 2001 from Winchester Public Schools, Peter pursued his life-long calling and was ordained in the Catholic Apostolic Church of North America in 2004 as a Deacon and then a Priest in 2005. He later accepted the position as Pastor of the Catholic Community of Holy Family in 2006. In 2011, Peter professed his ministry to the Third Order of the Society of St. Francis (TSSF), Province of the Americas where he remained active until 2023.
Peter touched many lives in his lifetime of ministries. To those who knew him he was a loyal and loving friend with a kind demeanor, dry sense of humor, and endless generosity. He is sorely missed.
