Philip L. Tomarchio

October 30, 1927October 3, 2020

Philip L. Tomarchio, 92, of Georgetown, MA, passed away peacefully in Norwood, MA on October 3, 2020 after a lengthy illness. Born October 30, 1927 in Mount Kisco, NY, to John and Cora (Quagliette) Tomarchio, Philip enjoyed a long life and 55 years of marriage to his beloved wife, Anne, his "honey".

Philip was devoted to his family which mattered most to him. He worked hard all his life and was fortunate to enjoy many years of retirement prior to falling ill. He was an enthusiastic sports fan and liked nothing better than pouring over his old coin collection and the many nostalgic treasures that he collected during his lifetime. Although Philip did not cook often, he was famous for his pancakes. Philip served in the United States Army, 172nd Infantry, 43rd Division in Munich, Germany, 1950-1952 as an equipment readiness specialist. He was honorably discharged as a Private First Class.

Philip is survived by his beloved wife, Anne Marie (Furtado) Tomarchio; his daughters, Kathleen J. Godin and her husband Kenneth, Cynthia A. Lacharite and her husband Arthur, and Mary Jo Schindler Bailey and her husband Thomas, along with eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service for Philip will be held at a later date due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
