Philippe Thomas Breton

July 19, 1964March 19, 2021

Philippe T. Breton, 56 passed peacefully on the morning of March 19, 2021, at the home of his caregivers, the Mwangi family. He leaves behind his wife, Rose Breton (Milano) of Norwood, MA. Philippe is survived by his brothers Andre M. Breton Jr of Granite Falls, NC and Daniel A. Breton of Olive Branch, MS and his sister Anna Breton-Fonseca and her husband Antonio Fonseca of Southbridge, MA. He also leaves behind his nieces Bonnie Stay and Ashley Rolfe, his nephews Mitchell Breton, Chad Fonseca, Michael Bretti and his wife Yu-li, Stephen Bretti, and Christopher Bretti, as well as, three great-nieces and several great-nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Astrid L. Breton (Broberg) and Andre M. Breton Sr. of Holland MA.

Philippe was a man of devout Christian faith and that faith in God helped him embrace life and deal with the many challenges and hardships he faced throughout his life. He embraced life with passion and never lost his sense of adventure, most recently traveling to Africa with his adopted family, the Mwangi family.

Music and dancing were also passions for Philippe. Philippe will perhaps be best remembered for his sense of humor. There was little that he would not do to elicit a laugh whether it be creating characters, voices, or making fun of himself. We will deeply miss his gentle nature and loving heart and most especially the laughter.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the many services providers that supported Philippe in living his life to its fullest. A special thank you to the members of the Mwangi family who cared so deeply for Philippe and welcomed him into their home and family. And special thanks also to Eileen Sabourin of Nonotuck Resource Associates, Inc. for her diligent advocacy and compassion.

Services will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021, and are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brain Injury Association of America, The American Diabetes Association, or NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Health).

My condolences to all the family. Phil was one guy that could get anyone to laugh. His laughter was contagious. You were taken to young but I know God has his reasons for that. May you be at peace. 😇♥️♥️♥️. Love you.
