
Ralph is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Roberta (Rowell) Curtis, of Norfolk, MA, his daughters, Holly Curtis of Beverly, MA, and Heidi Curtis of Clinton, MA, and his granddaughter, Lucy Curtis. He also leaves behind his sister Kathy of Onancock, VA, his brother Donald of Wilmington, NC; and several nieces and nephews. Ralph was predeceased by his two brothers, Richard and Thomas.
Ralph began his college career at MIT, and subsequently matriculated from the University of Maryland with an Electrical Engineering degree. He started his career at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington D.C., followed by the United States Department of Agriculture in Beltsville, MD. Ralph then pursued engineering in private industry, and was a long time employee of Raytheon for 28+ years. Advancing from electrical engineering to being a Program Manager with the Program Management Office, and was heavily involved in the pursuit and capture of numerous proposals. In addition to engineering, he was an avid reader of science fiction. Ralph also designed and created custom stained glass window hangings.
Interment will be held privately at a later date.
