Renée Yvette (Lynch) Lynch-Clanton, of Dorchester, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at the age of 64. Born in New York City, New York, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Daniel Lynch Sr. and Mary Yvonne (Bryant) Lynch.
She greeted everyone who entered her home with her smile. She wanted to make sure that everyone her family loved/invited over felt welcomed, and nothing says that better than a genuine smile.
Renee loved music. Janet Jackson, Prince, or TLC could be heard playing on the speakers before she opened the door. She had an angelic singing voice and sang as if no one was listening.
Renée lived a bold confident and unapologetic life, and it gave her a strong sense of self. This trait rubbed off on her children and everyone around her.
If you think she forgot your accomplishments, you were wrong. Renée would always remind the people she spoke to about the good things you did. It didn’t matter if you thought they were insignificant. To her, they were important.
Renée was the beloved wife of Mark A. Clanton of Dorchester. She is survived by her children, Nicole Clanton of Dorchester, Aaron Clanton of San Francisco, California, and Mark Anthony Lynch of West Roxbury; her siblings, Cheryl Lynch of Hyde Park, and Clifford Daniel Lynch Jr. of Brighton and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins in New York City.
