Robert J. O'Connor

Robert J. O’Connor, age 63, of Norwood, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Paul O’Connor and Josephine (Landers) O’Connor.

Bob was an accountant at Marr Companies in Boston for over 30 years. He loved all sports, especially baseball, football and golf. Bob was a little league coach for many years in West Roxbury and Norwood. He loved coaching and all the kids he got to coach over the years. Bob loved to watch golf, especially the Ryder Cup and Masters, and he loved to play golf with his son Matt. Bob loved to watch the Patriots on Sundays. Bob also loved to go out and spend time hanging out with friends at the local bars and sing karaoke from time to time. Bob loved live shows and music, and he loved to support his boys Andy and Matt in their local shows and performances, whether it be singing, plays or color guard, he was always there. Bob loved to take pictures and record all their performances and sports. He loved to capture a moment and keep it forever. Bob also loved watch Survivor with his son Matt and he loved to play games and video games with Andy and Matt. Bob loved to share a good story and was always “talking shop” with anyone he met. Bob enjoyed a good Budweiser and could always be seen at parties and gatherings with his cooler. Bob loved his family and always kept in touch with everyone.

Robert is survived by his sons, Matthew O’Connor of Attleboro, and Andrew Tucker of Beverly and his brothers Kevin O’Connor and his wife Lube of Hudson and Paul O’Connor and his wife Lisa of Marlborough. He also leaves behind his ex-wife and close friend Lorraine Tucker and his nieces and nephews Evan, Reese and Sam and his many cousins and extended family.

Visitation in the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St. (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 4PM-8PM. Service in the Funeral Home at 7PM. Interment will be held privately at the request of the family.
