

KROHTO, William H., 84, of Norwood, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 29, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Blakely, PA, January 11, 1930, he was the son of the late Michael and Julia (Ritzco) Krohto. Bill was the beloved husband of Shirley (Slivka) Krohto of Norwood; the loving father of Karen and her husband, Thomas Minahan of Plymouth, Sandy and her husband, Raymond Barlow of Hollis, NH, Kurt Krohto and his wife, Stephanie of Lincoln, RI, and Eric Krohto and his wife, Leslie of Merrimac; the cherished grandfather of Matthew, Alyssa, Dylan, Ryan, Colin, Alec and Madelyn; the dear brother of Lillian Brewer of PA, Mary Appleton of NC, Peggy Skiver of OR and the late Pauline Wasilchak and Jack Krohto and the uncle of several nieces and nephews. Bill worked as a salesman for Ballantine Beer and Westwood Pharmaceuticals, now Bristol, Myers, Squibb, for many years prior to his retirement. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 3, at 9:00 AM at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., NORWOOD, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Timothy Church, 650 Nichols St., Norwood. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 2, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
