

NUTTING, William R., of Norwood passed away on April 29th, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 68. Bill was born in Cambridge, the son of Howard and Ruth (Michaud) Nutting. He was raised in Milton and graduated from Milton High School with the Class of 1964. Bill is survived by his wife Lynne (Williams) Nutting of Norwood; his six children, Lisa Sheridan and her husband, John of Temple, NH, Christopher Nutting and his wife, Kate of Norwood, Jason Nutting and his wife, Kelly of Stoneham, Heidi Välja of Quincy, Samantha Nutting of Norwood, and Alexandra Nutting of Norwood; his grandchildren John, Lily, Kailey, Olivia, Jason, Jackson, Justin and Waylon; his siblings Kenneth Nutting and his wife, Mary of Foxboro, Bruce Nutting and his wife, Michelle of Marshfield, Jeffrey Nutting and his wife, Renee of Milton and Deborah Godfrey and her husband, Al of North Attleboro; his aunt, Annabelle Shepherd of Wrentham, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Known memorably as “Coach,” Bill dedicated over 35 years to the Norwood Babe Ruth baseball community, proudly leading his teams to several state championships while leaving a lasting impression on all those who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 5th, at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., NORWOOD, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Family and friends plan to host an additional service to celebrate Bill’s life accomplishments at a later date, and interment will be private.
