Sal and Lin,  A year has gone by and I still think of "Tia Dot" a lot.  I loved her very much and will miss her forever.  Thanks for sharing her with me:-)  Hugs to you both!  Kathy

Your Moms presence was greatly missed when she could no longer take her morning walks.  I like many others looked forward to seeing her.  May you find peace.


Dot was my favorite aunt. She was always a loving part of my life, whether as a small child when she stayed with Mag and me when Mom was in the hospital having Jeanne; when Mag and I were riding in the backseat of their convertible on the way back from Fort Smallwood in the summertime; or when Dot and I were buying fruit and veggies at the outdoor market downtown, she was always up and lovingly great company.  

I wish all her family my condolences but take heart in the many wonderful memories and the richness she has added to your lives.

Dot was such a friend, particularly when I was her neighbor. She had so much energy that was inspiring to the rest of her neighbors.  I loved seeing her walk the neighborhood and really enjoyed seeing her cut her grass well into her 80's - I could never get her to cut mine though ;)  We organized one of the neighborhood "progressive potlucks" together and of course she had the desserts at her house!
She will be missed.

Please allow me to express my deepest sympathies to my longtime friend Linda, and her entire family during this moment of grief. I have been aware of the many months of efforts gifted by family members in assisting Dorothy through her final transition from this life, and I wish to commend everyone on the generous nature of your hearts in doing so. I had the privilege of knowing her briefly with my landscaping business, as well as medically assisting her husband years ago as a member of the fire department. My wish for all of you is only fond memories of Dorothy, and know that my thoughts and blessings are with you... Bruce

So sorry to hear about Dot’s death.  Before I ever knew her name, I used to call her “the walking lady.”  Older than me, by a bit, her commitment to walking up and down the hills of Greenbrier every morning was an inspiration to me and an encouragement to make such a walk part of my own daily routine.  She was a warm, lovely woman, always interested in how others were doing.  I will miss her.

I have the sweetest memory of Miss Dot that I wanted to share with you - when I had my son, Dominic, (almost 10 years ago) and would walk with him in the stroller around Greenbrier, we saw her walking too, religiously every morning, even in the winter - we chatted as we strolled by each other and we waved to her all the time. And even when I was in the car, I got a wave. She was a delightful lady and I am so thankful to have known her.

I will have the warmest memories of growing up in Greenbriar and spending many summer evenings sitting on the front steps of the Bigg's home. Always feeling welcome. 


I will miss Dot forever.   When I was a kid she was my mother's best friend and when I grew up she became my very dear friend.   She watched me grow up and knew the truth about so many things.  And she told me she knew the truth.  She saw me through many sad times.  She never held back if she thought I was wrong, but I knew I always had her unconditional love.  She always called me "her girl." 
Rest well, my friend, and give Elvis a hug for me.
