I may not have known Allen that well, but he will forever be in my heart and prayers. You will be truly missed cousin. I'm sending my thoughts and prayers out to my family and loved ones. Wish I could have been there. Love and miss you all 😊

Jude and Charlie would always tell me how much you loved baseball, and despite all of the coaching you did, they were most enamored by you umpiring! Although we didn't know each other well, in the short time we did, I could tell you were someone special. The boys, like so many others I now witness, spoke of you with such love and admiration.

Although cut way too short, the impact your life left on others is surreal, and I suspect that you were so humble you didn't even realize it. I regret not getting you out onto our field a few more times, and saddened that I couldn't compare notes with you  on the recent PJ tour.

Your absence can't be masked,  but know that who you were, and what you left in terms of love and memories is more than enough to fill the heavy hearts of those closest to you, and even some of us not so close....

I had a many good time riding with Allen trip to N.H. will always be amongst my favorite. My thoughts and prayers are with his boys and his family. Rest in peace my friend.

There is a scene in  Forrest Gump where Forrest is running across the country.  Part of this run carries him through the desert and the mountains. During those moments he  talks about how beautiful it is and that at times you cannot tell where earth ends and heaven begins. His facial expressions and words tell you that he is not so rushed in life that he cannot be moved by a simple sunrise.  Allen struck me as one who also lived his life that way.

We met Allen through PHWM soccer and then continued to see him as an umpire for PHWM baseball. He was always smiling and had positive things to say whether it was on the baseball field or soccer sidelines. We enjoyed his company during a sand soccer tournament a few years back in Ocean City. He was so happy to be on the beach watching the boys play. We send our prayers to the Heath family.

Allen coached my son Cole three years ago in White Marsh travel baseball. He was kind and fun and supportive for the year he coached with us. We saw him numerous  times after that when he would umpire games. We saw him in June at a rec game and he was just so thrilled to see how the boys he knew from travel had grown and improved and shared his obvious love of the game. I wish we had the chance to know him better; he was a good man.

While I did not know Allen well, my memories of him umpiring my son's little league games and the conversations we would have between innings were something I will always remember.  Mostly I remember his kindhearted and soft spoken mannerisms and even through those short interactions I could tell  he knew and understood the important things in life.   Our family extends our deepest sympathy and condolences on Allen's passing.
