Andriana Marmaras

On May 1, 2026 Andriana Marmaras (nee Gounaris), of Andros, Greece, 89 years old, passed away. She was born on July 21, 1936 in the village of Syneti in Andros, Greece to George and Marigoula Gounaris. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Frangiskos Marmaras; devoted mother of Hariklia and Konstantinos Kourtesis, and Frangiskos Michael and Anthoula Marmaras; cherished Yia Yia of Michael and Adrienne Kourtesis, Smaroula and Nick Vidalis, George and Morgan Kourtesis, Maria and Chris Mitchell, and Jonathan and Dawn Marmaras; loving great-grandmother to Petros Vidalis, Hariklia Vidali, Kosta Kourtesis, Arianna Kourtesis, Michael Marmaras, Adriana Mitchell, Anastasia Mitchell, Penelope Kourtesis, and Eleni Kourtesis; dear sister of Mina Kalogridi.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church at 11:00 AM, where she will lie in state from 10AM - 11AM. Interment will follow at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Cemetery.
