Ardel “Ar” Grayce Deegan, 84, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Born at home to Arthur and Helen Miller, Ardel grew up in Highlandtown and graduated from Patterson High School. Beloved wife of the late Edward Deegan and the devoted mother of Mark (Pat), Jeff (Lynn), Dave (Cathy), and Doug Deegan. Grandmother to Rachel (Andrew Rice), Matthew (Jessie), Christopher, Michael, Crystal, Jaden, Patrick and Jonathen. Great grandmother to James, Will, Calista, Delaney, Kadyn, Orion, and Talian.
She was a long-time member of the Bou-Tem-Sci Club and St. Michael Lutheran Church where she volunteered and assisted at bereavement lunches. She spent her career in the floor covering business and enjoyed reading and home decorating as her hobbies. She treasured the friendship of her neighbors, classmates, recreation council and pinochle club members.
Ardel was a very kind and gentle person who will be lovingly remembered by her family, friends and all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. Michael Lutheran Church (Chapel) - 9534 Belair Rd., Nottingham, MD 21236.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Shriners Hospitals for Children c/o Shriners Childrens, P.O. Box 947765, Atlanta GA 30394 www.shrinerschildrens.org a cause close to Ardel's heart.
