
Audrey May Brailsford, 73, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach FL, after a sudden illness. Audrey was born on May 21, 1943, in Baltimore City, Maryland to the late Henry Berger, Sr. and Gertrude Berger. She worked for 14 years as a secretary at General Motors in Baltimore working her way up to the plant manager's secretary. She raised her 2 sons and provided a harmonious atmosphere for her family. When it was time for retirement she moved with her husband to the Palm Coast area of Florida in 2005 from Harford County. Audrey was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, a member of the Maryland Club and she met regularly with a group of ladies to socialize, by playing dominoes, sewing and quilting together. She enjoyed cooking and baking, specializing in desserts. Her greatest love in life was being with her family and friends. Survivors include her high school sweetheart and husband, John of 48 years; sons, Jeffrey Allen and David Thomas Brailsford, both of Glen Arm MD; brother, Henry Berger, Jr. of Baltimore MD; nephew, Bobby Jones of Perry Hall MD; niece, Wendy Jones of Parkville MD, and many loved and cherished friends.
Relatives and friends will gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham MD 21236, on Friday, September 9, 2016, from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m., and where a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2916, at 10:30 a.m. Interment Highview Memorial Gardens in Fallston. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 43025, Baltimore MD 21236-0025.
