On October 29, 2026, Barbara Lueda Schoene (nee Pilkerton) passed away at home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Eugene Schoene; devoted mother of Craig Schoene and his wife Heather, and Chad Schoene and his wife Jennifer; cherished grandmother of Nathan, Olivia, Madison, and Andrew; she was preceded in death by her parents Robert J. Pilkerton, and Nannie Pilkerton, her brother Robert R. Pilkerton, and her sister Linda Lou York; she is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc., 9705 Belair Rd. Nottingham, MD 21236, on Thursday, November 12, 2026, from 4-7 PM, where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
