Carol L. Fotiou

Carol L. Fotiou (nee Vakoutis), age 72, entered the gates of Heaven on December 6, 2016. She was the dear daughter of the late Louis J. and Virginia C. Vakoutis, daughter in law of Maria and the late Fotis J. Fotiou; beloved wife of John F. Fotiou; devoted mother of Carol L. Jones; loving grandmother of William E. and Alexa M. Jones and cherished sister of the late Louis J. Vakoutis, Jr. and Lucinda Hillberry and her husband Brian.

Carol was born in Baltimore, Maryland where she met her husband John, of Rhodes, Greece. They resided in Perry Hall until their recent move to Severn, Maryland.

Carol enjoyed doing counted cross stitch, crocheting, sudoku puzzles, vacationing in Greece and baking, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Relatives and friends will gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham, MD 21236, on Sunday December 11, 2016 from 2-6 p.m. The celebration of life will be held at Schimunek Funeral Home on Monday, December 12, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Parkwood Cemetery, 3310 Taylor Ave., Parkville, MD 21234.
