On August 22, 2018, Charles J. Hallis; beloved husband of the late Patricia Hallis and the late Carol Hallis; devoted father of Leah Baker, John Hallis and wife Sherri, Vernon Hallis and wife Roxanne; dear brother of Louis Hallis and the late Mary Billis and Alice Hallis; loving grandfather of Matthew, Heather, Christina (Daniel), John, Jessica (Ryan), Daniel (Kara), Katelyn (Bradley), Nicholas and Sarah (Jonathan). Also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, Mirabella, Emerie, Deacon, Braelyn, Jameson, Sebastian, Tobias, Navarra, Evelyn, Zoe, and Cash.
Charles is also survived by his late wife Patricia Hallis’ Children. Peggy McClure (Jim), Nancy Alderfer (Dale), Ron Oates Jr. (Tanya), and Stephen Oates (Janneth). Also survived by 18 additional Grandchildren through marriage to Pat Hallis. Charles was a long-time member of Perry Hall Baptist Church, Perry Hall, MD Serving as: Chairman Of Deacons; Children’s Church Director; Singles Ministry Director; Sunday School & Small Group Leader; Men’s Softball Team Coach, among many other roles. Charlie was the Chairman of The Board of Directors for Helping Up Mission in Baltimore City for 17 years. Charlie was a long-time Maryland Camp Director of the Gideons, International; Charlie volunteered frequently for the Billy Graham Crusades.
Charlie volunteered as a youth sports coach and director for the Lutherville-Timonium Recreation Association.

Relatives and friends will gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham MD 21236, on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at Perry Hall Baptist Church.
