Charles Edward Meyer

Beloved husband of Barbara Meyer; devoted father of Nancy Agnew (Kevin) and Carl Meyer (Denise Bishop); cherished grandfather of Charles Agnew, Margot Mooney, and Bridget Mooney; dear brother of Anna Mae Williams and the late Joseph Meyer; also survived by many loving friends and family.

Charles was a proud graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, Class of 1962, and carried that pride with him throughout his life. For 43 dedicated years, he worked with the Maryland State Highway Administration, building not only a remarkable career but lasting friendships along the way. He shared 56 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife Barbara, a partnership rooted in love, loyalty, and family. For more than twenty years, Charles was a devoted member of the Mug Club at Red Brick Station, where he cherished the camaraderie of good friends, lively conversations, and countless memories together. He was passionate about competitive barbecue, an avid reader of spy novels, especially those by Tom Clancy, and a loyal fan of the Baltimore Ravens. Above all, he will be remembered for his warmth, sense of humor, steadfast friendships, and the love he shared so freely with those around him.

Relatives and friends may gather at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc. 9705 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236 on Thursday May 14, 2026 from 3:00PM-5:00PM and 7:00PM-9:00PM. The funeral service will be held at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc. on Friday May 15, 2026 at 9:30AM with the committal service to follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.
