Clyde "Raymond" Wilson Jr.

On July 22, 2026, Clyde “Raymond” Wilson, Jr. passed away. Raymond is the beloved husband of Cynthia Wilson and the late Roseanne Wilson; stepfather of Scott and Kristie Polanka and their children Callie and Scott, Jr., David Polanka and his children Jacob, Rylee, and Sofia, Richard Polanka and family, and Dawn Helmbright and children; dear brother of the late Loretta Lang and her surviving husband Gene and Grace Sutton and her surviving husband Max. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, loving family and friends. Raymond was preceded in death by his 2 infant children, Ray C. Wilson and Joseph C. Wilson.

He was a devoted husband to his wife, Cynthia Wilson, and together they shared a special love for their beloved cats, Butler, Murphy, and dog Woofer now waiting for him with angel wings, as well as Belle and Felix, who brought them endless companionship, comfort, and joy. A talented author, he wrote 25 books under the name C. R. Wilson, leaving behind a legacy of stories and imagination.

He had a lifelong love of westerns and Doo Wop music, and he took great pride in his beautiful flower garden—although he could have done without the weeding part. He also loved a good joke and had a wonderful sense of humor, always ready to share a laugh and bring a smile to those around him. His passions, his creativity, his laughter, and the love he shared with his family, friends, and cherished pets will be remembered and treasured always.

Relatives and friends will gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Rd, Nottingham MD 21236, on Tuesday July 28, 2026, from 4-7 p.m., with a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. Interment on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Pleasant View Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 533 Royal Rd., Smock PA 15480.
