Crandell was the beloved husband of the late Mary Ann Heinze (nee West); devoted father of Donna Abt and husband Brian, Steven Heinze and wife Jackie and Maureen Benesch and husband Paul; loving grandfather of Nicole Deremeik, Stephanie Scott, Kristin Abt-Pinem, Steven Heinze, Jr., Lindsay Salmon, Eric Heinze, Jacklyn Domm, Rachel and Ryan Benesch; great-grandfather of Brennan, Kiernan, and Brogan Deremeik, Colbie and Tala Scott, Nanda and Jore Pinem, Wayne, Jr., Felicity, and Adam Salmon.
