What is quite interesting here is that even in the last two weeks, several of us long associated with GVO, were mentioning that Deborah had not been coming to rehearsal for several years. We did not know why, since we did not understand many things in her life, she was somewhat private in some of these things. She was a unique character, and that was on e of the things we like about her. We missed her before then, and now understand more completely why she withdrew from the orchestra. Our deepest sympathy to both her Family as well as the GVO family. GVO lost an avid Bassoonist and loyal founding member. Her Family has certainly lost a precious loving heart!

I shared many memorable and happy times with Debbie through the many musical groups we played in together. I will cherish those memories, she will be missed.

I'm so sorry to learn of Deb's passing. When I first formed the Greenspring Valley Orchestra in 2002, she was one of the first people to show up for our very first rehearsal. She was one of our most loyal members for the entire 15 years of my tenure as its Music Director. The orchestra was clearly an important part of her life. My condolences to Paul and others in Deb's family, including her many musical family members.
