Edward LeeRoy Minnick Sr.

On January 20, 2020, Edward LeeRoy Minnick, Sr. passed away peacefully at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Rosalie G. Minnick; loving father of Edward L. Minnick, Jr., and Tammy L. Mansberger and her husband Glen; loving grandfather of Michael Minnick, Shannon Mansberger and Kyle Mansberger; dear brother of Pearl Schultz, Doris Campbell, Mickey Wells, James Minnick, Norman Minnick, and the late Billy and Bubber Minnick, and Beulah Monroe. Also survived by his loving great nephew Zachary Blizzard, as well as many other nieces and nephews, and extended family members and friends. Ed was an avid country music fan. He loved to sing and play the guitar. He could be seen many days performing with his musical group, the McBand, at the Perry Hall McDonald’s.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Friday, January 24, 2020, from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, at 11am, at St. Michael Lutheran Church (9534 Belair RD, Nottingham, MD 21236). Interment services will follow in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make a memorial donation in Ed’s name to the Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Ste. 800, Miami, FL 33131.
