On June 14, 2026 Elizabeth J. "Betty" Baxley (nee Malloy) passed away. She was the beloved mother of Carl A. "Andy" Baxley (Susan), Carol Roese, and Margaret "Peggy" Zublick (Michael); cherished grandmother of Dr. Jessica Baxley (Paul), Shaun Baxley (Alex), Daniel Baxley(Hailey), Christopher Roese, Michelle Gatch (John), and Zoe Wenger (Peter), step-grandmother of Justin Zublick (Molly); loving great-grandmother of Gabby, Kayleigh, Wren, and Teagan; devoted sister of the late Sarah "Sally" Smith, William "Bill” Malloy, and her twin sister Marjorie "Marge" Deily; dear aunt of Kathy, Barbara, Bob, Janet, Karyn, Steven, and Mark.
Betty spent many years in her career as a nurse in Labor and Delivery at Franklin Square Hospital.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc., 9705 Belair Rd. Nottingham, MD 21236 on Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 11AM-1PM, a Memorial Service will begin at 1PM.
