Elizabeth Easton

On September 17, 2025, Elizabeth "Libby" Easton (nee McCarthy), 89, passed away. She was born on February 15, 1936 to Daniel and Verna McCarthy in Springville, NY. She lived in NY for 84 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas R. "Tom" Easton; devoted mother of Thomas M. Easton, Daniel J. Easton and his late wife Lynda, Mark J. Easton and his wife Teresa, George A. Easton and his wife Jade, and Sherrie M. Palmateer and her husband Duane; cherished grandmother of Chloe, James, Katelyn, Alex, Nick, Corey, Brandon, Brooke, Candace, Jake, Whitley, Mike, Shannon, Shawn, as well as her great-grandchildren; dear sister of Sr. Ellen McCarthy SSJ, and the late Msgr. Leo McCarthy, Nora Bramley, Verna Heist, Daniel McCarthy, Tom McCarthy, Stephen McCarthy, Margaret Mary Amendick, Frances Kocker, Paul McCarthy, and Kathleen Wagner; she is also survived by many, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, family members and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc., 9705 Belair Rd. Nottingham, MD 21236 on Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 22, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church (Fullerton) at 10:00 AM.

Following the funeral services in Maryland she will be taken home to New York. A viewing will be held at Charles Meyer Funeral Home, 13228 Broadway Alden, NY 14004 on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 6-8 PM, and Wednesday from 9-10 AM. a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (Alden, NY), on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
