My aunt Renetta was very special and we all, especially my mom, loved her dearly. During the last couple of years I kept telling myself that I needed to get down to visit my Aunt Renetta.  And I never did and now she is gone.  That's something that I'll have to live with.  My memories are many going back to my childhood when we would take frequent visits to that IMMACULATE row house on Frankford Ave.  Aunt Renetta and Uncle Dale always treated us very special.

Renetta, or "NaNa" to my siblings and me holds a very special place in my heart-She was wonderful to my Mother starting from their teen age years.    She and Uncle Dale were always a delight.

Renetta was always such a wonderful person. She was a great friend to my mother-in-law. May she rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mrs. Elsie through my volunteer work at Good Samaritan Nursing Center where she lived. She was a sweet, pleasant lady and I will remember her fondly.

Aunt Renetta - what a wonderful loving and caring lady. Growing up with you in our lives was a true blessing. Always loved staying in touch with you. You reminded me so much of my grandmother, Jane. Your laughter and funny stories along with your strong will made you so special. We are sad that you are gone but so very blessed to have had you all these years. May God be with your family as they go thru this difficult time. Our lives will be forever enriched because of you. Nan (Nina) will truly miss you. She enjoyed your company and I always loved hearing about her visits. You are now an angel with all the others but will forever be in our hearts.

Mom, there is a huge emptiness in my heart as you have been my life for so many years. I find such great comfort in knowing you are back with pop. I know how much you wanted that. I am also grateful that we were with you when you finally let go to be free from all your suffering.  May you rest in peace with your dearly beloved husband - our wonderful dad, along with the rest of your entire family. You will live in our hearts forever.

Aunt Renetta, I always enjoyed our visits, especially debating politics, chatting about cooking, sharing family stories, and working on the family tree/history. You were the last link to my mother and I always felt closer to her when I was with you. Tell her I said 'hello.' You will be dearly missed but am comforted that you have been reunited with Uncle Dale, Marilyn, Mom and all the others who have gone before you. God bless you. Until we meet again. Hello, want to express condolences  for your loss of Elsie.  Both Dale and Elsie were best of friends with my mother and father, Ken and Kathleen Gingery,  when they lived in Angola Beach, and after Dad died, she and Dale were pretty much guardian angels to Mom. She was with us when our Mom passed away in 1996. Over the last  x number of years I've been calling Elsie on the phone at Christmas time   to just shoot the breeze and wish her Merry Christmas.  I know when I phoned this past December either I didn't get an answer or maybe a message that the phone line had been discontinued.  I thought at the time she may not be too well.  

Anyway, both Elsie and Dale were number 1; don't think they get much better.

Donna - I have many many memories of Renetta and Dale over the 40 plus years I knew them.  Two favorites are Christmas morning coming to your house on Chesterfield Ave to watch Christie and Melissa open their gifts and have buckwheat pancakes and sausage for breakfast.  I loved those pancakes.  And Christie and I going to the Orioles game with your mom and dad sitting in the club level.  That was a real treat.  Rest in peace Renetta and if you see my mom tell Dorothy we miss her.  Donna your mom was very special to everyone and no one loved her more than you.  So sorry for your loss. Mom Mom ~ some things we will always remember and miss about you...the candy, the cabbage patch kids, trips to the pool in De., the candy, your laugh, your smile, your persistance, your love for Nascar, O's and Ravens, the candy, the happiness you had when seeing your great grandchildren, your Christmas sweaters (even in summer), the strength you had to get through the toughest times, oh and the candy.  These are just a few memories we will take with us forever. You can now be with Pop Pop and watch over all of us.  You will be missed dearly and always loved. Rest now Mom Mom, we love you!
