My Beloved Grandfather, You were a Father when I needed one most, a first ray of light in my most dark times. You were strong and stern but compassionate and protective. I loved the way your eyes lit up whenever you saw your young grandchildren and great-grandchildren. You were a very important presence in my life. You will be greatly missed but will always be in my heart.

Because of logistics we will probably not make it to Baltimore this Monday and Tuesday. Our thoughts will be with you and the family. There is so much history between Dick and me - - it is overwhelming, I will stay in touch and perhaps afterthe "dust" settles David, Larry and I can all get together with you and John. Rock and Roll

Mr. Dick will sure be missed. Growing up next door to him, my favorite memories will always be at the pool and hanging out on snow days with him and the rest of the neighborhood gang. Ms. Judy, John, and Nicolette...you're on my mind.

Dear Judi, I am so sorry to learn of Dick's passing, and want you to know I am thinking of you and your family with love and compassion. I just watched the wonderful video with all the photos, and in each one Dick has such a great smile and twinkle in his eyes!! Especially when he is holding each and all of the beautiful children in his life, and of course his terrific wife. Who even has on her JHU sweatshirt in one of them!!
Please know I'm praying for and thinking about you, and may the closeness of your friends and family be of comfort to you. Much love and fond memories!
