On July 20, 2026, Ernest Frederick Funk, Jr. passed away. Ernest is the beloved husband of the late Rosemarie Funk (nee D’Amico); devoted father of Mary Ann Hughes (Randall) and Stefanie Kurek (Roman); loving grandfather of Logan Kurek (Rachael), Dakota Kurek (Companion Laleigh Singh), Sierra Kurek, Taylor Hughes, Kaitlyn Hughes, and Connor Hughes; cherished great-grandfather of Carter Joseph Kurek; dear brother of Richard Funk (Nancy) and Marlene Scagg; brother-in-law of Grace Gover (Howard). Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
