My Dad, My Angel
Your battle is now over, no more tears flowing down your cheek,
no more pain, no more suffering, now you are no longer weak.
I still do not understand why this had to happen to you,
but I am proud to say you are my dad, the greatest man I ever knew.
Although you will not be here to walk me down the aisle,
when that day comes I know you will be by my side with a smile.
You were always there for me and never once made me cry,
until the day you closed your eyes and had to say goodbye.
Now you are my Angel, so spread your wings out wide,
please wrap them around me whenever you see me cry.
Our time together was memorable and God took you way too fast,
But the most precious thing to me was you being there for my first breath,
and me being there for your last.

It is hard to believe that it has been a month since my dad passed away. It may seem to some that it has flown by, but to me it has been one of the longest months of my life. I had no idea the ways this loss would affect me...I am so grateful for all my friends and family who have surrounded me with their love and support. There have been small signs all around me that my father is still with me in spirit and that I can get through this. I miss you dad with all my heart....until we meet again.

My fondest memories of Francis:
Just kids playing in our neighborhood or at Belle Grove Elementary school.
Playing hardball at school from morning to night.
We lived across the street from each other.
An extremely memoriable time was when he had an opening for a fishing trip at Point Look Out and called me to perhaps fill that space. Well, I did and had a great time with Francis, his dad and others and we all caught fish!
Great times did not stop there but continued on to the reunions where we all shared stories and spirits.
May all who contributed to this post know that Frank was the kindest, most courteous and ever the gentleman to all who took the time to appreciate him.
To Rose, Kristina & Michele...
Not all is gone, for the memories will live forever in your hearts and will last as long as you do.
Frank...You will be missed by many and may your soul rest in peace. Thank you for the blessing of your friendship.

Frank was a good and decent man and a friend for over 60 years.

Back in the '70's, Frank and I had a LONG session at HillTop. On the parking lot, Frank fell in som etall grass/weeds and I "lost" him. It took about 5 - 10 minutes to find him that night.

Mr. Frank,

Thanks for all the memories at the parties at Mom & Dad's!

Especially the one where you woke up on the floor by the fish tank and thought you were underwater because the fish was blowing you kisses!

You will be dearly missed,

Joanne Herbst

Frank was always jolly - he called our home regularly and kept in touch about everything. He went to school with my wife and we met at one of the class reunions. We soon became friends. He will be remembered by me as a good friend. I hope that he will be remembered as a good friend by all.

Francis was a wonderful student and treasurer of the Science club. I saw him at his wife's graduation at University of Maryland. He was a good student and it was a privilege to know him. I tought him Biology and was his class advisor in high school.
