On September 7, 2026, Francis “Frank” Tauber entered eternal rest surrounded by his loving family. Frank is the beloved husband of Patricia “Pat” Tauber (nee Hirsch); devoted father of Trisha Bunty and husband Rich, Lorraine Boardwine and husband Randy, and Marleen Brilla and husband Dave; cherished grandfather of Joshua, Jessica, Jimmy, Danny, Randy, Jr., Jake, Andrew, and Adam; great-grandfather of 7 great-grandchildren; loving son of the late Louis, Sr., and Agnes Tauber; dear brother of the late Louis Tauber, Jr. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, loving family and friends.
Born and raised in East Baltimore, Frank attended St. Wenceslaus School and Mount Saint Joseph High School. Following high school, he proudly served his country for three years in the United States Marine Corps.
On New Year’s Eve, a blind date would change the course of his life when he met Pat, the woman who would become his wife and lifelong companion. That first date began a beautiful life together, and Frank and Pat went on to share 63 years of a loving and devoted marriage.
Together, they raised three daughters, who grew up, married, and blessed Frank and Pat with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family was always at the heart of Frank’s life.
Over the years, Frank enjoyed family trips to Wildwood, New Jersey, as well as cruises and bus trips with Pat. He loved Polish music and dances, took great pride in keeping his cars freshly waxed, and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Above all, however, Frank treasured time spent with his family. Family gatherings brought him his greatest joy, and the memories made together will be cherished by all who loved him.
Relatives and friends will gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Rd, Nottingham MD 21236, on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Interment Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
