Gloria Mennit Higgs, born on June 21, 1942, peacefully passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 83. Gloria was the beloved wife of Sherman Alden Higgs, Jr. and the former wife of John Edward Cimino, Sr.; devoted mother of John Cimino, Jr. and his wife Edith, Jeannine Moriconi and her husband James, Matthew Cimino and his wife Karen and Mary Ann Evans and her husband Matthew; step mother of Jamie Higgs-Campbell; cherished grandmother of Bridget, Tara and her husband Kerry, Nicholas, John, III and his wife Alexandra, Elizabeth and her husband Matthew, Samantha and her husband William, Brianna, Rebecca, James, Jane,Lily and Brooke; dear great grandmother of Klaus, John "Jack", IV, Luciano, Dean and Giuliana, step grandmother of Jessica, Grace and Gabrielle; loving sister of Joseph John Mennit and his companion Donna Wells and Michael Charles Mennit and his wife Judith.
Family and friends may gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home (9705 Belair Road Nottingham, MD 21236) on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, November 3, 2025 at the Oak Crest Village Chapel from 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. at which time her funeral mass will be celebrated.
