Hope's mother was a member of my mother's bridal party and, easily, the most striking. Hope was pretty memorable too. Even though she was 11 years older than me, and probably taller (everyone is), I always thought of her as a pixie. When we met again on Facebook some 50 years later, she still had that pixie quality.

Hope was such a kind and lovely person and a good friend to me over the many years following our time working together at a busy law firm. We had a million laughs in an often dry environment and she always had my back. Hope and I kept up over the years and shared life’s ups and downs. I know she so loved Colin and her family and friends. I so miss her.

Sending our deepest condolences to the entire family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Lots of happy memories of good times shared with Hope and Nancy. Enclosing a picture of the last time the three of us were together in Chestertown, MD in 2017. Lots of laughs, memories and crabs were shared. We cannot be there for the Memorial Service, since we live in Walla Walla, WA, but, be sure we will be remembering her and keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers.

Rest in peace, my friend.
Love,
Mary & Harry Kuschatka

We raised our daughters nextdoor to the Wards for 25 years. Hope and I sat in the yard doing crossword puzzles while the girls played with their barbies and Fisher price toys! Hope and I still talked to each other regularly after we moved 26 years ago. Thoughts and prayers for you girls, your families, and dear Colin. Love to all. Joanne
