James Vincent Flanigan

James Vincent Flanigan (Jim, Jimmy) was born on December 31, 1942, in Akron, Ohio, the second of five children and the only boy. He passed away peacefully on October 2, 2026, at the Perry Point VA long-term care unit.

Jim is survived by his son Jeff and Jeff’s wife Jess, his daughter Karen and her fiancé Dhaval, his sisters Joan, Lucille and Patty, his nephew Mike and Mike’s wife, Amy and his nephew Steve, and Cathy, Jim’s former spouse and devoted mother of his children. He was predeceased by his parents, Gerald P Flanigan and Elinor Marie Clark Flanigan and his sister Elaine Lawrence.

Honoring his expressed wishes, Jim was cremated and his ashes will be scattered by his family at specified locations that were meaningful in his life. More information will follow over the coming months.
