James Latgis, Jr.

On August 9, 2018, James Latgis, Jr.; beloved husband of Catherine Irene Latgis; devoted father of Aristea Daniels and husband Daniel, Christine Constantinides and husband Nicholas, James Latgis, III and wife Mary; loving grandfather of Stephanie Christ and husband Stephen, Louis Tagliaferro and wife Susan, Michael Constantinides, Melissa Allen and husband Todd, Stephen Constantinides, Jason Latgis and wife Mallory, Valery McCarthy and husband Corey, Cathy Willison and husband Jason; dear brother of Marina Trossbach and husband Paul, Nicholas Latgis and wife Rita, Samuel Karavedas and wife Mary. Also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. James is pre-deceased by his parents, James & Paula Latgis, Sr., and his sisters Katerina Latgis, Chrysanthe Chirgott and Victoria Memphis.

Relatives and friends will gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham MD 21236, on Monday, August 13, 2018, 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., with a Trisagion service at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Latgis will lie in state on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, from 10:00-10:30 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, with a Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church Mortgage Fund, 2504 Cub Hill Rd., Baltimore MD 21234.
