Jan Denise Kirkner (nee Hendrickson), age 89, of Perry Hall, MD passed away on July 27, 2025. She was the beloved wife, for 56 years, of the late John R. Kirkner, Sr. Jan passed on her and Jack’s wedding anniversary. They would have been married for 72 years. Devoted mother of John Robert Kirkner, Jr. and his wife Suzanne, and Kimberley Denise Droboniku and her husband Michael; loving grandmother of Andrew Michael Vernon, Laura Elizabeth Schweiger and her husband Robert, Alexandra Denise Droboniku-Groth and her husband Dale, Michael John Droboniku, and Jessica Marie Kirkner; cherished great-grandmother of Avery Elizabeth Schweiger. Predeceased by two sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair Road, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 3 to 5 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 10 A.M., at the funeral home. Entombment to follow at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
